Christmas donation to support youth mental health

We make an annual donation to a selected charity. This year, we are supporting MIELI Mental Health Finland through which the aid is directed towards youth mental health.

Our Christmas donation is aimed at supporting the mental health of young people. MIELI assists young individuals struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, or bullying. The free Crisis Helpline receives approximately 160,000 contacts from young people annually. According to the organization, they are able to respond to about one in every five contacts. In the evenings, the wait time may be several hours. With the donations, the organization’s staff can, for example, respond to an increasing number of young people in need of help through the Crisis Helpline.

– We know that many young people face various pressures and challenges at the beginning of their journey in life. That’s why we have decided to make a donation to support youth mental health. It allows us to contribute to preventing the loneliness, school bullying, and social exclusion of young people, says Joni Sundelin, CEO of HUB logistics.

Sundelin also emphasizes that responsible corporate actions are not limited to the Christmas season. Regardless of the donation’s target, companies should provide support and act responsibly throughout the year.

– Corporate social responsibility is not a seasonal obligation but a continuous commitment to building a better tomorrow. We encourage all companies to lend their support to those in need during the Christmas season and throughout the year.

We want to thank our staff, as well as all our customers and partners, for the past year. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a rewarding New Year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
