HUB logistics and Päijät-Häme welfare municipality association have agreed on the continuation of the cooperation. The new agreement brings a continuation of the cooperation that started in 2020.
The cooperation between HUB logistics and the Päijät-Häme welfare municipality association is unique in Finland, as the Päijät-Häme welfare municipality association is the first public producer of social and health services that has outsourced part of its logistics operations to the private sector.
HUB logistics provides logistics services for the Päijät-Häme welfare municipality association at Lahti Central Hospital. The entirety of logistics services covers the welfare municipality’s warehouse operations, internal logistics services, and distribution and shelving operations to offices in Lahti and the province.
The current operations will change in terms of central storage. The central storage will move from the hospital’s premises to an external warehouse operated by HUB logistics, thus freeing up the premises tied to storage for other uses of the hospital.
