Joni Sundelin has been appointed as the new CEO of HUB logistics group. He takes up the responsibilities of chief executive officer starting at first of November 2019.
Sundelin will be joining our company from Finavia, where he acted as the director of the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. He has also held high positions at Tamro and Itella, working closely with logistics and supply chain management. Sundelin holds a Master of Science degree in Economics.
Sundelin sees great potential in HUB logistics.
– HUB is a privately-owned Finnish company. It’s growing and developing fast, it’s professional and expanding rapidly outside Finland. HUB has great customer base and a lot of opportunities for development, Sundelin describes.
For the past few years the founder of HUB, Aarno Törmälä, has acted as the CEO and the chairman of the board of HUB logistics. With the appointment of the new CEO, he will be able to concentrate fully on his duties as the COB.
– We needed someone with the adequate professional skills and global business experience to take charge of this company. Joni combines these two qualities perfectly. It’s now time for me to hand over my responsibilities as the CEO and support the growth of this company as the chairman of the board, Törmälä says.
